I have begun to feel that fleeting isolation, and the coldness of the thorny darkness with its faint blue light, and the power of the approaching storm. I leave you with this narrative, along with the sorrow and regret it conceals.

The story Don’t Worry captures the events of the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges faced by children who were reluctant to return to school due to the virus’s spread. Thanks to God and the wise leadership of the United Arab Emirates, the pandemic was overcome, and the virus was eradicated through the tireless efforts of the first line of defense.

The people of the UAE found reassurance in the comforting words of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan – may God protect him – who said: Don’t worry.

The story narrates these events by likening the coronavirus to a monster attacking the city, which is bravely defeated by the first line of defense, ultimately helping a little girl safely reach her school.

Not every word penned in letters is read. Otherwise, why would dust gather on so many shelves, covering the books they hold? If books could speak, the world would tremble at their silent screams, their desperate pleas for freedom. They long to be liberated from their oppressive prisons. Only a true reader – a connoisseur, an enthusiast, or a collector – can choose them. But even then, they are merely transferred from one confinement to another.
