The Provisions Of The Mentally Ill In Islamic Law And International Treaties
Since childhood, my ambition was to become a nurse, to help people and treat patients. My wish came true, and my passion for this profession only grew, especially when I learned that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “The people most beloved to God are those most beneficial to others.”
During my work in the hospital, I realized the need to understand the rulings and guidance of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his companions concerning patients. I couldn’t answer their questions unless I became well-versed in Islamic jurisprudence. This led me to enroll in the College of Sharia (Islamic Law) as a part-time student, studying in the mornings and working in the evenings. After graduation, my passion for knowledge drove me to pursue a master’s degree and eventually a doctorate. The book you hold in your hands is the result of my doctoral thesis.
One who studies the rulings of Islamic Sharia will find it remarkable in its comprehensiveness, consistency, and relevance to every time and place. Drawing from the Holy Qur’an and the teachings of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, it provides clarity and guidance for all that is good for us, both in this world and the hereafter. From these principles, we derive the legal basis to address emerging issues in modern times.
It is with great pleasure that I present this book, Rulings on the Psychologically Ill, which was my doctoral thesis. This work has been a guiding light for me over the past twenty years, and I have been teaching it within my community. I am now pleased to share it with a wider audience, as it supports one of the rights of patients and serves as a resource for psychologists, mental health students, and scholars.
This book contains:
- - The causes of mental illness, the stance of Islamic jurisprudence on these causes, and how Islam addresses and prevents psychological disorders.
- - An explanation of most of the rulings related to psychiatric patients in Islamic jurisprudence, including matters of worship, financial affairs, and personal status such as marriage, divorce, and custody.
- - The most important individual, social, and institutional duties toward the mentally ill.
- - A comparison between international psychiatric patient rights and Islamic rights.
I ask the All-Mighty to bless these efforts and to benefit everyone through this book.

The Shadow That Never Fades
On a grim night, a young child witnessed the most horrifying sight a human could see – the murder of his parents before his innocent eyes.
That moment planted in his heart a fear that could never be erased – a fear that time might repeat itself, taking away everyone he loves.
As the child grew, so did that terror, forming a thick wall between him and life itself.
He rejected love and marriage, believing that distancing himself from others would protect them from the same fate.
He lived with the weight of his memories, haunted by the fear of reliving the past.
Despite his successes in life, loneliness remained his constant companion. He walked the paths of life, fleeing from happiness, lest it be stolen from him one day.
Over time, he drank deep from the bitterness of isolation until he lost the desire to connect with the world.
What will happen to him? You will find out as you read this gripping story.

A collection of short stories, each independent yet deeply resonant, exploring the realities, emotions, feelings, situations, and beliefs that shape our lives. Some stories may shock us, while others we accept as they are – much like the ebb and flow of life itself. The journey begins with a child’s cry at birth, bringing joy to their parents, and unfolds into a tapestry of experiences. Reflecting on our own lives, we find a parallel to the book’s title, Whispers of the Heart Between Pain and Hope. Life swings us between its wings, carrying us through joy and sorrow, death and life, pain and hope.

Distorted Revenge
Not every word penned in letters is read. Otherwise, why would dust gather on so many shelves, covering the books they hold? If books could speak, the world would tremble at their silent screams, their desperate pleas for freedom. They long to be liberated from their oppressive prisons. Only a true reader – a connoisseur, an enthusiast, or a collector – can choose them. But even then, they are merely transferred from one confinement to another.
Perhaps some of their words will linger in the reader’s mind, mingling with others to create new stories. These stories follow in the footsteps of their imprisoned brethren, waiting to be liberated. Freed, they roam minds and illuminate paths, offering solace and companionship. They never tire, never abandon, and suffer only the pain of being unheard.
The book sits imprisoned, its words trapped between the pages. When someone finally opens it, the story dissipates into the air, mingling with the dust motes. It generously offers its words to the reader, who embraces it as a friend. Congratulations to you, reader, for finding this loyal companion. And congratulations to the book, for finding someone to give it dignity and free it from the shelf.

It Happens That…
My own space, where I was liberated from this imaginary universe…
Here is the space of your beautiful reality of sadness, joy and more…
Everything is upside down here…
And never despair…
Because there are always opportunities…
Fall once… twice… and more…
It is possible that you will survive in the end…
Just try again with greater confidence that you can,
And you will…40.00

A Loose Dress That Doesn’t Fit Me
I have been standing for half an hour, contemplating the road from my window. An old lady riding a bicycle passed by. A pigeon passed by too, but apart from that no one passed by, and I did not hear anyone’s voice, neither a human voice nor a bird nor a stone. For a moment I felt that I was watching a still image, not a live scene. I finally remembered that today is Sunday and my surprise disappeared; this day, in addition to being a holiday, is a dull day in Germany, a dull, gloomy and desolate day; there is no movement in the streets, nor in the houses, nor movement in the sky, nor on the ground. Sometimes I imagine that the inhabitants of this country speak sign language on Sunday so as not to break the thread of eloquent silence and existential calm on this day. On the outskirts of where I live, the scene becomes more tragic and heavier, resembling mourning ceremonies, or scenes of a curfew; On Sundays in those areas, a foreigner feels lonely, isolated, and as if he has been living a hundred years of isolation.

My Right Hand
Life doesn’t always give us what we love or want. But it’s not life that controls us; it’s the individual who holds the power to create the life they desire, despite all circumstances.
You must unleash your strongest energy to overcome pain, challenges, and people and continue on your path with a clear goal in mind.
Embrace your flaws and your true self, and be a friend to yourself.
