Shuaa Zainal Featured on Dubai One TV

Shuaa Zainal, author of Yallah Emirati Arabic, recently appeared on Dubai One TV to talk about why it’s so important to keep the Emirati dialect alive. She shared what inspired her to write the book, how today’s younger generation is drifting away from the language, and what role parents can play in passing it on. She also explained how she’s using tools like YouTube and simple learning materials to make the dialect easier and more fun to learn.

Her book Yallah Emirati Arabic is a step-by-step guide for anyone who wants to learn how people in the UAE really speak. It covers basic grammar, pronunciation, and local expressions, and includes short exercises to help you practice what you learn. The book keeps things simple and real, focusing on the way the dialect is actually used in daily life.

Shuaa was born in old Dubai and has seen how the country has changed over the years. As more people speak English at home, she felt a need to do something before the local dialect fades. Through her book and other efforts, she hopes to help the next generation stay connected to their roots.
