Shuaa Zainal was born in the heart of old Dubai and has witnessed firsthand the
transition from UAE’s humble beginnings to the melting pot it is today. As the
UAE flourished, Shuaa Zainal observed the growing thirst of UAE expats,
wanting to learn the Emirati dialect. With the new generation, Zainal fears the
dialect will lose its original identity and it has led her to embark on a journey to
write this book.
