Zahra, who was born into an upper-class Sudanese family in the year 1910, is left shattered when her life is ruined after a brutal massacre, which leads to her being sold into slavery in the Gulf region. During the tough years of slavery, Zahra learns how to survive through silence, hiding within herself her inner strength, developed due to her childhood. With her freedom from slavery bestowed upon her, Zahra decides not to live her life as a victim of her past.

The writer of the book is Dr. Musleh Baddah Al-Otaibi. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and has worked as a Director of Marine Operations and Export Services in Kuwait Oil Company. Currently he works as an advisor to different organizations.
