Description

The novel portrays the existence of two lives. The first life is beautiful, innocently lived by a young man called Ali. He lives the second life after he gets shocked by reality, when this young man who grew in a poor village looks after love and life, he faces walls and obstacles that separate him from everything he wanted. In the vortex of class differences, Ali loses his best friend, Saad, and his girlfriend, Munira. He turns into a jobless man after graduating. The taste of love is different now for him, so he decides to protest with his friend, Omar, along with those who call for their rights to work. He gets arrested and interrogated by his old best friend who graduated and became officer. His perception of life become confused, so he agrees to the conditions of his old best friend to get out of this impasse by breaking up with his girlfriend, Munira, Saad’s sister. He discovers that “The Wall of Salt” his blind uncle was touching while waving goodbye to his only son is nothing but a real memory of pain. Fortunately, this memory turns into a success when he turns his memories in paintings and become a famous artist.

Jaffar Mohammed Ahmed Hadi holds a PhD in knowledge management. He has several publications, including: Exhibitions Street novel, Civil Society in Bahrain between the Charter and Arab Spring Phases and Automation of Civil Society Organizations in Bahrain. He is also a university lecturer and certified trainer.
