Was it over here or there? I was deliriously lost in the total darkness. It was as if the streetlamps along the road, as well as the bright lights on the walls and rooves of the neighboring houses, had simply stopped working. That night, people dressed in white to avoid bumping into each other, as they otherwise would not be able to see those around them.

All of this was quite clear through the window of my room, which overlooked the distract sports pitch, and opposite the main street.
