Fabrice Jaumont, nicknamed “Godfather of Language Immersion Programs" by The New York Times in 2014, is an education attaché for the French Embassy in the United States, with more than 25 years of experience in international education and multilingual programs development. He received his Ph.D. in International Education from New York University (NYU). He also received a number of awards and medals such as the “Academic Palms”, which is a recognition from the French Government; the Cultural Diversity Award from the International Organization of La Francophonie at the United Nations; and the Medal of Recognition from CAFUSA. He has applied his experience and knowledge by serving the French, Italian, Japanese, German and Russian, and other communities in the United States and elsewhere by helping them develop high-quality bilingual education programs in local public schools. The Bilingual Revolution, which is a practical and easily accessible book to accompany the reader in their project, is originally a story of a movement born in Brooklyn and told through the eyes of parents and educators who created bilingual programs in their schools. All are convinced that bilingual education is a common good which should be offered everywhere because it can positively transform a child, a school and even a country. Bilingualism can become the new norm, but this will not begin without our educational systems’ full participation.
