In this book, we find many meanings and new horizons about life that draw us in, deepen our longing to explore them, and invite us to dive into them, to live their events. We all live on this earth as if we are moving across the stage of life.

Some of us are protagonists, some are supporting characters, and some, unfortunately, are mere extras: those who do not know their place in life, who imitate others, and who live for others.

There are also critics, whom we will never satisfy no matter what we do. Therefore, all we can do is choose our role thoughtfully, remain unaffected by others, and avoid justifying ourselves to them. We must also bear the consequences of our choices and their impact on us, sooner or later.

Through this book, we also encounter the many fluctuations of life’s circumstances and learn how to deal with them, adapt to them, and hold a firm belief that all of this will pass and should only make us stronger and more resilient.

A firm belief that with hardship comes ease.

A firm belief that after darkness comes light.

And that everything has a beginning and an end—just like life itself.

Yasmin Abyad was born in the Syrian city of Aleppo, where she studied and spent the prime of her youth.

She is a young woman passionate about life and filled with hope, having been raised within a small family abundant in warmth and love.

She married and built a beautiful family, always hopeful and driven to seek distinction and uniqueness.

Her university studies were diverse as she moved through her journey in life; she studied law, economics, interior design, music, and instrumental performance. She is also gifted in writing, journaling poetry, composing verses, and setting them to music.

Yasmin is a woman who, no matter her age, still carries within her a little girl who loves travel and detests constraints and routine. She possesses a spirit of adventure, exploration, and discovery, and a desire to learn about everything new and exciting in life.

She moved to live away from her beloved homeland, Syria, residing in several of its cities, then relocating to the beautiful city of Beirut, followed by the wonderful island of Cyprus, until she arrived in the city of Dubai—where dreams never end; rather, the ceiling of her dreams rises endlessly. This mirrors the writer’s own character and deepens her attachment to life, to tomorrow, and to hope.
