These are three tales from the Deccan Plateau of Peninsular India handed down through generations in an oral tradition. Recalled from an era gone by and sprinkled with happiness, humour and some pain, these tales have been reconstructed to appeal to the modern-day child.

Narrated by the Great Peepal Tree, ‘Fading Tales of the Deccan’ portrays reality and enchantment through prose and children’s chants to recall a world that once existed and which children of the future may never likely know.
