Mai Elsayed is an award-winning ‘social impact’ artist who studied Mass Communication at the American University of Sharjah. She was curious to understand how the human mind works and why people behave differently to the same stimulus. Therefore, she further expanded her skills by studying clinical hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Elsayed is especially interested in decoding psychological challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, and eating disorders. She is actively participating in raising mental health awareness and eliminating the stigma by talking about the different aspects of psychological and physical well-being while encouraging people to open up and share their stories.
Thanks Mai for this emotional rollercoaster. I usually have the ability to finish 300 page books in a week's time or two, yet it took me 3 weeks to complete this 144 page wonderful manuscript of vehemence. It's heavy. It's rich. It's alive. The way its written is beautiful as it touches your very heart. This book isn't only an entertaining novel as it also tackles a very important and prevalent topic, ghosting. It captures the very essence of grief and how its dealt with. It brought me to tears and it made me giggle. Words can't describe how proud I am of the lady you have grown to be. I love you to the moon and back.
