Have you ever felt so immersed in nature that it was as if you were a breeze within a wind blowing in the distance—one of the sand grains of the desert or one of the water droplets in the sea? A member of the congregation of plants and trees?
Have you ever felt ecstasy and happiness from helping others or pride for a glorious accomplishment?
Alternatively, have you ever felt that you lived in so much darkness and pain that you could not see the light at the end of the tunnel? And have you held on tight to your hopes and dreams, but no matter how hard your grip, they slipped away through your fingers?
‘No, I will not be normal,
I will reach and touch the stars,
I will dream my way into the farthest corners of the universe...
That which is seen and that which is not...’
Poetry is the world in which all these feelings and more reside, bloom, and form parts of an alternative dimension that rises above the autonomy of our daily lives. Let’s always seek to discover the magic, beauty, and understanding that words can bring.
