Anti-Corrosive Treatment For Concrete Surfaces

Chemical industries, dairy units, oil and gas refineries, petro-chemical complexes and fertilizer manufacturing units are few of those areas which are incomplete without anti-corrosive treatment for concrete surface.

Environmental effects, spillage and dust- emission are few of those processes which can corrode concrete. Protection of concrete surface of constructed elements from corrosive attack “arising through very harsh corrosive conditions” from all those (and many more) sources of corrosion becomes a moral duty of a Civil Engineer.

This book is an effort in this direction to share the applied knowledge with the budding Engineers so that they are aware of such protective measures to be taken for the situations they are put into which I am sure, you must have found it to be of significant importance. One save of production stoppage with use of knowledge contained in this book would serve the very purpose of bringing it out.

 هذا الكتاب عبارة عن مجموعة تجارب ملهِمة وأحداث حقيقيَّة شيِّقة للكاتب، وهو تاجر إماراتي قرَّر في سنٍّ مبكِّرة خوض مجال ريادة الأعمال والتجارة، فوثَّق فيه العديد مِن الوقائع والمواقف التي تعرَّضَ لها خلال رحلته العمليَّة، كما أنَّه وضع فيه مجموع تجاربه، وقدَّم فيه العديد مِن النصائح والتكنيكات مِن خلاصة تجربته.

Ashes Of A Lost Country

Ashes of a Lost country, is a historical novel that tells the story of hostilities between the Israelis as invaders, and Palestinians as defenders of their homeland. The book is a story about the loss of one’s country and the victory of a man over this event. The main character in this novel is Alghadanfar, who at the age of 14 suffers two disasters; the first is the loss of his mother, and the second is the loss of his homeland, Palestine.  Alghadanfar finds himself alone in this world with no parents to look after him, he travels more than 40 kilometers on foot, under the scorching sun of June to finally reaches his boarding military school, his last shelter.  All he possessed in the world was some shabby clothes and not a single penny in his pocket, but he possessed one effective weapon; his determination to survive. Through the book, Alghadanfar narrates in a gripping story style the history of the Middle East, the most turbulent region in the world, and the ongoing war between Israelis and Palestinians. Yet, in spite of all the suffering the Israelis have inflicted on him and on his people, the author rejects violence and decides to fight with the pen as his father had taught him.  In brief, the book preaches peace, understanding, love, coexistence; and rejects hate, violence and calls on enemies to bury  the hatchet and sharpen their pencils.

The book Child Health Around the World: The Adventures of a Kindhearted Pediatrician is a message that aims to increase humanitarian global medical volunteering among our medical and community circles in Saudi Arabia, the Gulf, and the Arab countries.

It is also a loud voice calling for change in the hands of the youth and the new generation, openness to the other world, and equality among all the world’s groups on one standard called “humanity.”

This book is about the experiences I lived and coexisted with, and my personal analysis of them from a scientific, humanistic, and social perspective. Perhaps these experiences will enrich the discussion and inspire my generation and the generation that came after me to contribute to changing the world and making it better than ever, “one patient at a time.”

It also aims to discuss equality, racism, social determinants of health and children’s rights from a local and global lens at the same time, which makes the reader focus on the similarities among human beings around the world instead of focusing on the differences.

In short, it is a draft of my thoughts on global citizenship, openness to the other and helping the poor and needy, regardless of their color, race, religion or sect.
