All Pleasures

The sequence of my thoughts, and the composition of the lines of my poems, may seem strange. You will find chaos, order, courtship, admonition, bright light and darkness. The book (All Pleasures) is a poetic magazine, so I hope to get approval from the readers, and I have offered every lover the best medicine.

We dreamt together

Walked around the lanes of London

We flew to Swiss together

Used to be our heaven

We loved Paris

Our relation started with a conversation about the city of love

We dreamt of many cities

altogether ..

We settled in Colorado

our dream home

But, at the end

We had two different final destinations

We are far away from each other

Our dreams never came true!

This is a collection of poems written as a response towards the incidents that transpired in the span of 11 months which were a transition point for me.

These 11 months shaped my thoughts, my beliefs and tested my sanity in different ways. The poems were written at the airport stairs, where endless thoughts have fallen.

The Repertoire Of Being

The Repertoire of Being is Maryam A. Wajdi’s debut poetry anthology, depicting her perspective on life and her encounters with others through an everchanging lens from the eyes of a child to a young woman. Some wishes were written in the form of poems, and they became true.

The Blue Moon Diamond

Perhaps it had to rain,

For the clouds to clear

Perhaps I had to fall,

To conquer my fear

Perhaps the wind had to blow,

For the trees to sway

Perhaps my heart had to break,

For my feet to stand and pray.
