Compendium
I’ve always dreamed of a poetry scene in the UAE. Not a fleeting stage but an immortal book, to hold our painted words and bring them to the hands of those who would read them.
I myself write but I didn’t imagine this book with me alone. I wanted it to express a multitude of emotions, ideas and expressions. That’s when I started looking for other poets to contribute to this book. It started with a small twitter group consisting of me, Zayed and A.Y.A. It slowly grew to seven poets. We compiled our poetry into the book you are holding right now, Compendium.

Call To Home
Ayesha, is a growing young lady, in her own manner. She learns the many moods of love and heartbreak, if webbed in confusion and fears of a tragedy unraveling. Expressing her ideas of what love, is and could not be. She pens down her fears, and the confusions she observes, engulfing a man or woman in a society unsure of their own ways.
She finds love to be like a hidden maze.
In the end, she recalls a story long heard, expressing gratitude to all that she learned due to this journey within, to the epitome of love.

Brushstrokes
Brushstrokes on the canvas of my life…
The hues and shades of joys and sorrows, of pain and passion, of tears and desperation, all have lent fire to my quill and these brushstrokes paint the portrait of my soul…
The benevolent and omniscient has given me perspective and the inimitable joy of a spectator at all times…
The heartthrobs and heartbreaks, the hits and the misses, the mirth and the melancholy all paint these brushstrokes…
Life is a journey of the soul, refining it in each encounter with the self. Yes, each experience is, I believe, an experience of our own self and refinement of the soul.
We can either be bitter or be better when we experience life.
Whatever happens happens, because it has to happen, and it has to happen in that particular way…
Let life flow on like a stream and let me be a leaf floating on it.
Prostrate at thy feet, Lord Guruvayoorappa, I surrender…

Wandering In Cities Defeated By The Blackness Of Your Eyes
This is a book of poetry, love, and a journey with the impossible.
The author takes readers on a journey in search of the poet of the impossible.
She discusses with them emotional issues related to dreams, aspirations and conscience.
“Sorry, the passion fell into disbelief
From a whisper of nostalgia
And the impossible journey
We’ll laugh one day
We will be happy
We will rise
We will win
We will go one day towards the sun
We take life out of the heart of tragedy
We carry our Arab hearts
And our Arab eyes
And our Arabic incense
And our forgotten hopes
We will go one day towards our eastern dreams
The rays of the sunshine on our clothes.”AED 0.00 -
I Should Write This Down
Let me be a cloud
That don’t stop for anyone
That marches through the storms
And rainy days
That wonder the horizons
Quenching the thrust of the green fields
Reviving the souls of the empty hearts
Bringing forth rainbows and butterflies
Let me be a cloud
Maybe then I will be
Free at last

Amaira The Little Woman
Like amaira,
we have all been fragile buds,
wanting to blossom in the sun.
From the cocoon of soft petals,
to spread out our wings one day
and fly with our heart
as a vibrant butterfly!

Always Almost, Until It Wasn’t
i am the one
hiding between the lines
in over-stuffed drawers
torn diaries, outdated dates
nameless and anonymous
i am the one
filled with passion and drive
fearfully expressive,
hiding in a forgotten corner
my voice was too loud, I was silenced
yet here I am breaking the
boundaries, opening forgotten books,
to find my voice again,
to bring life to the dead
to paint the words in rainbows
i am the one across these words
embodied in contents
sharing my life to who’d listen
so listen closely
read between the lines
you’ll find my torn diaries
of outdated dates
filled with drive
and passion.

All The Colors Of The Sky
Like the ever-changing sky, our emotions are a vivid spectrum.
From joy to sorrow, from youth to age, from dawn to dusk and the moments in between – our feelings paint a canvas as varied as the sky itself. We feel the warmth of love, the chill of indifference, the solitude of loneliness, and the comfort of companionship.
From fiery reds to calming blues, vibrant orchids to muted lavenders, we embody every hue and shade. We are the brilliant sunrise, the melancholic sunset, and the mysterious twilight.
All the Colors of the Sky is a collection that captures the essence of love and life, weaving tales that transcend the obvious, delving deep into the unseen emotions and untold stories.
Experience the vastness, the beauty, the depth. Experience All the Colors of the Sky.

All Of Me
I am always striving to be a better person . My religion really helps me, at the end of the day I pour out my heart to the only one who can change our situation from bad to good
I try to stay positive on a daily basis, but sometimes I am my own worst enemy .
I poured my heart out, and digged deep in to my soul
And there is plenty more poems to come later
In sha Allah

A Combination Of My Midnight Thoughts
It’s not about finally being happy,
But how I got there.
You won’t hear what you want to hear,
What you already believe,
And that’s the best part.
