The Boy And The Wolverine

The Boy and the Wolverine is an emotional adventure of a young boy and his grandfather who share a passion for the outdoors. The grandfather has a deep love for his grandson, imparting his wisdom of the forests, mountains and wildlife gained from many years as a hunting guide in far-northern Alaska. Every experience the two share becomes a learning opportunity for the grandfather to teach his grandson through his back-country experience and wise counsel. Their learning experience increases when they rescue a critically injured wolverine and begin to descend through the mountain forest to the village below. The grandfather discovers they are being stalked and pursued by a ferocious pack of predatory wolves who savaged the wolverine’s family, leaving him critically wounded.

Forced by a winter storm, the two take refuge from the wolves atop the pinnacle, where the grandfather’s skill is pitted against the predators to protect himself and his beloved grandson.

I have always been impressed by formal forums, protocols, international representation, and official states’ uniforms. I have full conviction that every culture has the right to be represented and to have its message conveyed across the globe. I believe that the best representation of any country is the person who full-heartedly wishes to do so, with complete devotion and love of what they do. Their only motive is their pride in their country, their belief in their message, and their comprehension of the importance of such duty. Consequently, my spontaneous answer was, as you would have predicted, that I will become an ambassador. Silence enveloped the place, and then shortly, was followed by whispers and mutters. Students’ loud laughter prevailed in the place, giving the impression that they have full knowledge, based on comprehensive and extensive research studies about all the obstacles that may prevent me from achieving my ambition or its requirements, and about the impossibility of achieving my dream. Anyone who sees them would think that they already know the unseen, and are certain of the impossibility of achieving this dream and its requirements. I was under the impression that I told them that I aspire to solely make my own spaceship and travel through galaxies or to travel through time somehow.

Melba the Camel knew that a best friend would make him very happy; someone who would accept him as he was and help him to become who he should be. Melba loved his family and his brothers and sisters that he played with out on the great plains, but he realized that he did not have a best friend who would accept him and stand beside him in every situation. Melba also believed that his best friend was real; he only had to find him.

Melba Finds a Friend is a warm and touching story of Melba the Camel’s quest to find his best friend, which is similar to our own longing to find someone very special to us. He visits many of the other animals that live in the reserve of Kruger National Park in Africa, inviting each of them to be his best friend, but each of them declines Melba’s sincere invitation for personal reasons they share.

Melba finally visits Mr. Crocodile who is refreshing himself in the small river that runs along the edge of the great plains, and who shares with Melba wise words that a best friend is very hard to find; that you can’t really find a best friend, but often they just appear and when they do we recognize them immediately.

Perhaps we are in a similar situation like Melba, searching for a best friend. Then we should heed Mr. Crocodiles wisdom and be on the look-out for our best friend to appear.
