Sophie's World
“Luckily, the parking lot only deleted footage every three months because of the relatively heavy flow of tourism that took place at Cramond Ghost Island during the summer months. The old man in charge of the parking lot security cameras asked us why we needed the footage. Ethan told him that I met someone there at noon on a Saturday in July and that the police needed to verify that this meeting took place on that date.
The old man had to review footage of the four Saturdays in July. He grumbled as he escorted us to a small viewing room at the rear end of the parking lot. Ethan and I sat down next to the old man as he began his search. He rolled back to the first Saturday at noon but found nothing. The second Saturday also showed nothing. On the third Saturday, my car appeared in the footage as I parked in between two cars at exactly twelve o’clock in the afternoon. The man kept the film rolling for me for another half an hour. Andy’s car never appeared.”

Maged was taken aback by what he saw in the huge basement and realized why they referred to this location as ‘The Bunker’. In contrast to the old historic façade of the downtown Cairo mansion, he was now looking at the most advanced wall-to-wall, state-of-the-art, satellite and surveillance equipment. He looked at agent Rawan in amazement as she walked towards the satellite screens, which were beaming footage from across the world, in real time.

Kept In Safeguard
Moments of silence prevailed in the hall, during which he turned his gaze around its corners until his eyes fell on the mural behind the main chair.

Justitia, have you blindfolded yourself so that you can only see the truth? Or not to see it at all!
Let me relax the knot of the band a little, let me lift that blindfold from your eyes so that you realize what you did not see before, so let your scale be fair, and let your sword be raised, now I give you my soul.

Me My Father
Sometimes you feel...
As if you are an angel who lives amidst crowds filled with hard-hearted people,
People who let you down, leaving your soul to bleed from sores and scars.
Their apologies come too late...
As if it will bring back the years to you, or return to you your health,
That is exhausted by the hardness of their hearts,
Their merciless hearts.
Then destiny will bring you souls,
That relieves you of your grief without pain or whining,
And you who thought sadness would never be erased and would never be forgotten...
But God's kindness will surely come.

The Mediterranean Grave
A novel whose events are difficult to believe, but it happened anyway and was told as it is: its hero is the university professor Dr. Wajdi, who specializes in history, has a change in his view of history and he hates it and abandons it for literature in an attempt to write his first novel, but the idea eludes him. He knows - somehow - that Dostoyevsky died and was unable to write the second part of The Brothers Karamazov, which he planned to come twenty years after the lives of the heroes of the first part, while there is a hidden, unseen party that has a direct interest in Dr. Wajdi’s travel to the Russian city of Saint Petersburg, where Dostoyevsky lived, wrote, and died.
He actually travels there with the intention of finding someone who will conjure the spirit of Dostoevsky to dictate to him the text of the second part, which was not written. The process of evocation failed, and the only way for the hero to get the idea for his novel is to return, in his soul and in the body of another being, to the days of Dostoevsky and live with him closely. The old shaman whom he meets by chance and who convinces him to travel to her homeland of Siberia, turns out to have special abilities and performs a ritual for him to return him to the era of Dostoevsky in the form of a soul that resides in another being. How will events develop after that? What is the fate of our hero as he pursues an idea and nothing more?
