A Sorrow Is Hidden in Me are the early experiences of different individuals and the challenges that shaped them in their life. It is based on real events…the book presents their emotions simply and clearly – It has guilt, confusion, sadness, anger and small moments of relief that gives readers a raw look at how people face difficulties at a young age.

Yalda Afshoon started writing at the age of 15 and despite growing up in an environment where women faced many restrictions…she did it. Over the years, she worked in nursing, banking and art before focusing on writing. She believes every young woman should have the freedom to express her thoughts and feelings. A Sorrow Is Hidden in Me is one of her early works…It was later followed by her second novel, The Tides of the Past.
