Documentary follows Rachel Bou Abdullah, a TV presenter trying to save her struggling show. She decides to reopen the file of a girl who disappeared years ago and hopes that she could find the truth behind her case. As she digs deeper, she meets people whose lives were shattered by the incident - a brother who carries anger he can’t let go of, a sister trying to heal and a story that has remained buried for far too long. It’s a tense and emotional story about Clara’s disappearance and the emotional cost carried by those left behind.

Riza Michel Daoud was born in Beirut and studied acting before working in television, film and theatre. After moving to the United Arab Emirates, she started writing and published her first novel, If He Returns, followed by The Notebook. Documentary is her third novel.
