Love In the Season of Hate is the story of Humaid, a young man from Sharjah whose life is full of suspense and breathtaking events. After graduating from medical school, Humaid chooses to work in refugee camps in Sudan, Jordan and Syria…where he found his true purpose in life. Humaid goes through terrifying experiences and even escapes extremists, but along the way he also searches for love and a sense of purpose. His story shows that even after facing so much hate, it’s possible to hold on to kindness.

Dr. Anwar Hamdan Sajwani is an award-winning Emirati Consultant Ophthalmologist with over 25 years of experience in Dubai’s healthcare system. He has worked across multiple countries including Pakistan, Lebanon, Egypt, Ireland, UK and France. He has volunteered in numerous medical camps. Love In the Season of Hate, first published in 2020 is his debut book which shows his passion for humanity and life’s deeper purpose.
