Adventures With January and Friends is about January, a curious little cat and his new friends Zara and Shadow. They roam through the city together…looking for answers. January learns what it really means to be a friend - caring, being honest and looking out for each other. The story is full of small, fun moments and gentle lessons that make it easy for young readers to enjoy and take away ideas about kindness and respect.

Dr. Amal Salim Al Halyan is a child psychiatrist who has also worked in various areas of healthcare and written papers on organizational behavior. Adventures With January and Friends is her first children’s book which was inspired by a brave, blind rescued cat named January. It’s a playful bedtime story full of humor, heart and gentle lessons.
