In "The Upper Levels," the reader is taken into a world that has been formed by the presence of radiation, mutation, and living underground. This book is centered on the character Isim, who was born in an underground bunker and has only ever seen the world below the surface of the ground and has never seen the sun or the sky above. In his quest to locate his father, whom he hardly knows anything about, Isim travels through the different levels of the bunker.
