The book Child Health Around the World: The Adventures of a Kindhearted Pediatrician is a message that aims to increase humanitarian global medical volunteering among our medical and community circles in Saudi Arabia, the Gulf, and the Arab countries.

It is also a loud voice calling for change in the hands of the youth and the new generation, openness to the other world, and equality among all the world’s groups on one standard called “humanity.”

This book is about the experiences I lived and coexisted with, and my personal analysis of them from a scientific, humanistic, and social perspective. Perhaps these experiences will enrich the discussion and inspire my generation and the generation that came after me to contribute to changing the world and making it better than ever, “one patient at a time.”

It also aims to discuss equality, racism, social determinants of health and children’s rights from a local and global lens at the same time, which makes the reader focus on the similarities among human beings around the world instead of focusing on the differences.

In short, it is a draft of my thoughts on global citizenship, openness to the other and helping the poor and needy, regardless of their color, race, religion or sect.

The Story of Nothing is a collection of musings, epiphanies, and psychological breakthroughs gathered and compiled on a three-year journey.

Across the cliffs of Ireland, along the coasts of France, amongst the fields of the American Midwest, and through the vast and awe-inspiring deserts of Saudi Arabia, these beautiful and varied landscapes were the very muses that inspired this author to take the journey inward into the complex and often shadowed depths of her own psyche.

Scientific discoveries have profoundly changed our understanding of our place in this world. Those discoveries that have allowed us to weave the story of our world based on experience, evidence and facts.

The story of our world begins with telling the story of the science that made us learn about it. When did the story of science begin? Who are its first heroes? Why did it stumble and get weaker? How did it start again? And who are the heroes who contributed to that new start? How did the story of science help shape the world we live in today? What is the structure of matter? How was it formed? And what is the story of our understanding of it? How was our universe born? What are the stages it went through? And what is the story of our knowledge of that? What is the story of the basic structures of the universe, from galaxies to stars, to our solar system and its planets? What is the story of the Earth? How was it formed? What are the stages it went through? What’s our story? How did we start and tame our world? What is the story of ancient, medieval and modern times? Finally, what do we envision for the future?

Jen: What on earth is this?

Observing the obstacles that stand in his way on his way, and benefiting from them as experiences, then supporting himself with external things that make him continue on this journey, such as faith and meditation, then following the path to reaching inner peace and true happiness.

A Blue Page

It is not for anyone, but it is for everyone; it is not for you if you thought you were the one intended for it, but for you because you did not think that you were the intended one; it is not for reading, but for contemplation, and not for contemplation because it is for reading.

It does not express the writer’s imagination because it is the reality with its imagination and the imaginary with its reality. It is the virtual world that imposed its world on us, and forced us into its assumptions.

On every page there is a blue page, and on every blue page there is space for one’s self and the others to see how many times their hearts had been broken, how many times they have broken the heart of others, and how many times have passed without any heart being broken!

A blue page in the color of the sky, filled with the contradictions of Facebook, its beauty, intensity, and its attachment to us like a blue scarf embroidered with the faces of the thin clouds wrapped around our necks.

Facebook pages and its faces are now us, taking the ones we love from us, and the ones we love take everything from us and leave us floundering in the blue world, dreaming that one day we will soon become what we want to be, if we can find a way.

The color of the heart of love is blue, the sun is blue, the night is blue, the moon is blue, and the sea is yellow like the color of my pale face.. A blue page for you to turn back the hands of your clocks to a time before Facebook, social media and sacred timing, and be the one who decides.. Can we love from behind glass screens and multiply through Facebook accounts and such?! Maybe we will do that one day.
