The Talking Shadow is about a little girl who, upon visiting a playground, sees a shadow beside her. The shadow is portrayed in the story as a living character named Shadow. To the girl’s surprise, this shadow can talk! She notices that the shadow goes everywhere she goes and does everything she does, so she tries to outsmart the shadow. Though she is initially annoyed with the shadow, she finally realizes that they can be friends.

Akhona Cikizwa Khumalo is a South African mother of three, who enjoys travelling, and has resided in South Africa, and other countries in Europe and the Middle East. She has a quiet but adventurous personality and likes to experience new and different things. Her interest in story writing is driven by the amusing little moments she lives through with her own kids and when she lets her inner child come alive. She believes in positively contributing to literacy and would like to encourage children to read and be read to. This little story is filled with quirkiness, love, and laughter, and she can’t wait to share it with you. She bets you’ll love it!
