The Flawed Princess

Every girl dreams of someday becoming a princess. Feona didn’t have to dream; she was born a princess. A princess with a heart of gold, the courage of a dragon, and a mind of her own. But unfortunately, she lacked what all the princesses possessed. She didn’t have long blonde hair; she wasn’t slender, nor was she fair. Thus, she was forced to endure the humiliating journey of evaluating her worth through the eyes of those who only saw her flaws. Flaws that she had no control over, flaws that shouldn’t define her, flaws that can end up destroying her kingdom. All because of one age-old tradition that determines the next ruler for her little kingdom. Between saving her kingdom, finding her worth and keeping up traditions, Feona fights an invisible battle inside her while the kingdom awaits their new king.

Locked in a tower guarded by a dragon so fierce, will the Flawed Princess ever meet her knight in shining armor who will help her find her worth, or will she give up her fight?

Fazeela Nizamudeen has always been an author, even before she took up the pen name “Married Poppins”. She is well known in her family circle for composing a three-page essay to the school requesting a one-day sick leave for her brother. Being an avid reader, Fazeela loves the way words bring meaning to the mysteries of life. Along with time, her love for reading started to ooze into her writing, and thus began the journey to finding her hidden passion as Married Poppins. She has always imagined reality to be the biggest adventure for anyone to journey through, yet she has fallen in love with every fantasy she reads. What began as a rant became a blog, through which she started believing that one day she would write a book. And this is just the first of her many dreams coming true.

Reading regular fairy tales as a child with happily ever afters, finding out to be that prince charming could only be a disappointing myth in adulthood, this author has penned deep lessons in a very light hearted and playful way that children must include in their reading list. Well written and funny.

A very different twist from the usual fairy tales and happily ever afters, the lies we read as children and the disappointment to find out the charming prince was only a myth , this author in a light-hearted way has penned deep lessons in cute and easy to understand story books. A must read for young children.
