Songs of the Silent is a collection of poems that speak for those who are deemed silent and unbothered by their surroundings. This book is dedicated to romantic souls, whose silence amounts to endless music, whether they are sung out of love, for love, or hope, and ultimately despair. Themes of loneliness and beauty are recurring throughout the book, accommodating those who suffer in silence and offering comfort and, if possible, hope in the darkest of times.

Ali Al Blooshi is an Emirati-born and raised poet from Abu Dhabi and is studying English Language and Literature at the American University of Sharjah. He is a member of Sigma Tau Delta, an international honor society for literary studies. His passions include reading classics and creative writing; he also participated in several international book fairs in the region as an exhibitor. His writing was previously published in local university magazines such as UAEU’s VOICES and AUS’s ASRAR volumes, as well as research journals such as Emirates Scholar and Cogent Arts and Humanities.
