The story of Pindar, the Antarctic Iceberg takes place in Antarctica where a small iceberg performs a series of acts of kindness to those in need while trying to overcome the effects of climate change on his own circumstances.

The story of the iceberg demonstrates that even the most basic acts of kindness, can transcend race, gender, color, and in this particular story, species.

The setting of the story is inhabited by animals that live in that environment, thus providing children with an educational outlook on which particular animals live in which environment.

Leena Ahmed Al Jamali is a retired lecturer living in Muscat, Oman. She had worked for 34 years at Sultan Qaboos University in the Department of English Language and Literature where she taught language and literature courses.
