When Qumasha the Dugong finds herself ensnared by the Queen of the Currents, Al Sayoura, what will she do to free herself? This book, the second of the Into the Arabian Sea series, aims to educate children, in a fun way, on what dugongs face every day that classifies them as vulnerable. How will Qumasha free herself? Will she be able to impress the queen enough to escape?

Dr. Hind Al Ameri is a dedicated marine scientist specializing in marine assessment and conservation. With a deep passion for the environment, she aspires to be a leading advocate both locally and globally. Committed to educating future generations, Hind has often found her scientific mindset overshadowing her creative writing skills. However, inspired by her sister Felwa’s lifelong love for reading, Hind proposed the idea of a children’s book, which Felwa embraced enthusiastically.

Felwa Al Ameri is a mother and a full-time engineer in the oil & gas industry. Her love for literature has driven her commitment to instilling a passion for reading in her children. Although becoming an author seemed like a distant dream, the unwavering support from her sister Hind, along with Hind’s infectious enthusiasm for environmental issues, provided the inspiration needed to turn that dream into reality. Together, they embark on a journey to inspire young minds through storytelling.
