Liam is a bored five-year-old who, like many, hates rainy days!

Throughout the story, Liam (with the help of Mom) experiences something new.

Mom helps Liam discover that rainy days can be fun, as long as you’re ready to wet your socks and try something new!

How do you think Liam will feel at the end of this rainy day?

Rania Najjarine grew up in a small town in Lebanon during a time of civil unrest, where she learned early on how to find sunshine even on the cloudiest days. There, she studied press and journalism, where she came to understand how stories can inspire and connect people across all walks of life. Rania later earned a Creative Writing Certificate from the University of Toronto SCS, where she specialized in writing children’s books.

Her journey has taken her from Lebanon to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Canada—each place filling her heart with new stories and wonders. As a mother, Rania loved reading to her children and soon discovered the joy of writing stories for them too.

Books have always been a faithful friend along her journey. Through her stories, she hopes to share the same sense of warmth and imagination with children everywhere. She believes that books are the best kind of adventure, no matter where you call home.

I was referred to this book by a friend. The story is simple but engaging, making it perfect for children. Works well for bedtime. The illustrations are nice which helps keep kids interested. It is one of those books that can be read multiple times without getting old. No negatives to it, does exactly what you’d want from a book at this level. A welcome addition to any children's library, and one that gets used regularly.

This is a really sweet and enjoyable children’s book. The story is easy to follow and has a nice message, and the illustrations are bright and fun. It’s the kind of book kids will want to read again, and it’s great for reading together too. Definitely a lovely addition to my child’s bookshelf.
