To save her struggling television program, Rachel Bou Abdullah takes a daring step: she requests permission to uncover the story of a girl who vanished under mysterious circumstances, a story long buried in forgotten files, left untouched for nearly a decade.

In this journey, you will meet Fadi, a brother consumed by anger and haunted by an unseen killer chasing shadows born of his own torment. You will encounter a sister striving to find peace, tethered to a man whose attempts to mend her shattered faith in a world that has shown her nothing but injustice are as fragile as hope itself.

Together, you will descend into the labyrinthine catacombs of Clara’s story, a descent into the darkness where a once-simple life unravels into a nightmare, a terrifying tale carved from the quiet despair of a world turned cruel.

Riza Michel Daoud was born in Beirut, studied acting, worked in television, film and theatrical productions, and is the mother of two children.

After moving to live in the United Arab Emirates, she decided to write stories that would make the reader enjoy reading in terms of the smoothness of the language and the sequence of events. She had her first novel, “If He Returns,” and then “The Notebook.”

The Documentary” is her third novel.
