In a day where technology and numbers dominate and scream at our brains, we are slowly forgetting how to whisper and cradle our hearts with its language. We slowly leave our hearts blind by drifting art from its eyes and our hearts deaf by silencing poetry. We forget the importance of these fundamental things in our lives and the importance of different forms of art, which keep our hearts at peace and belong in the home it longs for.
Hala Talal Altamimi was the youngest author at the Jeddah Book Fair 2019, publishing her first book at 11 years old. She first started writing poetry at 8, with the dream of touching people’s hearts with her words.
