Basil Kheiry

Basil Khairi, born in 1998, is 26 years old. A lifelong lover of writing and drawing, he has always sought to blend the two, drawing much of his inspiration from Japanese anime. Though he dreamed of becoming a writer, Basil often kept his work hidden, doubting it was good enough to be published – until the day he dreamed of a story that changed everything. The dream was about Nightmare School. Yes, The Nightmare School! The first dream gave him a compelling idea, and the next night, he dreamed of an explanation to a question within the story. Combining these ideas, Basil jotted them down in a notebook and felt, for the first time, that his idea deserved to be shared. He tentatively published his story on the Wattpad app, unsure of how it would be received. To his surprise, the positive response and interaction encouraged him to continue. From that moment, Basil decided to write not just for himself, but for others as well, turning his dreams into stories for the world to enjoy.
