Khaled Hazem Nusseibeh

The author was born in 1961 in Amman, Jordan, and belongs to an old Jerusalemite Arab family which has been for centuries the custodian of the key of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. He received his school education in Jordan, Egypt, Italy, Britain, and thereafter was awarded a bachelor’s degree in political science from Columbia University and a master’s degree in Near Eastern Studies from Princeton University. He possesses an interest in Arabic and English poetry and literature. He worked for a period of time in journalism, and also worked in the public and private sector. For around 20 years now, he has practiced translation as a profession, where he owns a translation office, The Ubada Center for Writing and Translation Services. In general, he has an interest in human thought, irrespective of cultural underpinning.
