Abeer Youssef Al-Helou is of Egyptian origin. She was born in the State of Kuwait where her father, may God have mercy on him, worked. She inherited the love and writing of poetry from her father, but no one paid attention to her talent, but she insisted that her poetry see the light. She studied at the Faculty of Education, Department of Media, and got married and God gave her two sons who are the apple of her eye, and they are the most important achievement in her life, as she was able to pave her own way alone as a result of her separation, defying all difficulties and hardships, and she was able to send her two sons to the Faculty of Medicine, and they achieved amazing success in order to compensate their mother for her dedication and sacrifice of her ambitions and life for them. She was influenced by the great Syrian poet Nizar Qabbani, and she loved the great Iraqi singer Kazem El Saher, and she wished to meet him to give him her first book, The Scent of Days. One day she will meet him despite the distance, because she trusts that God’s will is stronger than anything, “His command is only when He intends a thing that He says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.”
