Jamile Charkie lived in Saudi Arabia for two years, and when she came back to Canada, she brought some of that essence with her. She began volunteering at the AlRashid Mosque and was part of the Dawa (Outreach) Committee and joined the AlRashid Youth Club as well. During this time, Jamile pursued her love of Qur’an and began to study Qur’an, eventually giving ladies’ halaqas at the AlRashid Mosque and writing this tafsir book that would enlighten people.
