Ahmed Ali
Ahmed Youssef Ali is a consultant psychiatrist and head of the psychiatry department at the National Rehabilitation Center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Khartoum in Sudan in 1990 before moving to the United Kingdom, where he trained in psychiatry. He also worked as a researcher and examiner at the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry at St. George’s Hospital, University of London.
In 2002, he became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and in 2013, he was elected to the Fellowship of the College.
Since 2007, he has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment in Pennsylvania, United States. He is also the editorial board chairman of the International Journal of Emergency Medicine and Human Resilience.
He has published more than 40 articles and research papers in psychiatry, both in Arabic and English, in medical journals and peer-reviewed periodicals.
