Safa Tayseer AlEmam
With humility... inspired by love for the land, the homeland, and humanity – far from selfishness.
Inspired by respect for ethics and religions – far from fanaticism, sectarianism, and divisions.
Inspired by the community – far from ethnicity and racism.
Inspired by dignity, nobility, and virtue in those who embody these traits.
Inspired by the beauty, magic, and grandeur of nature and its Creator, her poetry has been written in letters of light, hoping to illuminate hearts that lack insight.
The poet, Safaa Taysir Al-Imam, a Damascene Arab, drew her inspiration from the purity of the Barada River, the greenery of Ghouta, the whiteness of jasmine, and the majesty of Mount Qasioun… from the fragrance of history, the gates of Old Damascus, and its citadel – the oldest continuously inhabited capital on this planet.
