On August 28th, Emirati Women’s Day is celebrated annually to highlight the contributions of women in the UAE, from their achievements in the arts, science, and various other fields to their essential role in helping the community grow and for the bright future of the UAE. Emirati women played a central role in the UAE’s progression, becoming innovative, inclusive and prosperous. Further, this day serves as a tremendous excellence and high-level appreciation for Emirati women, due to which UAE hit the line of prosperity and betterment.
In 2015, Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Al Ketbi, also known as the mother of the nation, introduced the Emirati Women’s Day to celebrate the major progresses made in various fields by women of the UAE and to enforce gender equality and women’s empowerment in the UAE. Women from diverse backgrounds and communities in the UAE discover excellent career and business opportunities. In addition to the countless career opportunities, the UAE is considered one of the safest places for women to work and showcase their talents in various fields.

Sarah Bint Yousif Al Amiri – Her Excellency Sarah Bint Yousif Al Amiri is one of the most outstanding scientists within the UAE and the first minister of State for Advanced Science alongside the Chairwomen of the UAE Space Agency. Sarah’s most fabulous work involves inserting a spacecraft into Mars orbit in its first attempt. She continues contributing to and advancing the UAE’s science and technology field.
