تربى الدكتور عبدالرحمن زين الدين في بيئة محافظة متديّنة، ولاحظ أنه على الرغم من أن الكتب السماوية تؤكد على أن الله قد سخر للإنسان مافي السماوات ومافي الأرض جميعاً، إلا أن أكثر البشر يعيشون جلّ حياتهم دون الوصول إلى الرضا والإكتفاء، خصوصاً على المستوى المادّي.

دفعه ذلك إلى بحثٍ استمر لعشر سنوات ليقدّم بعدها هذا الكتاب، والذي إن قررت أن تستخدمه بصورة تطبيقية، فسيوصلك إلى حقك، والذي هو مكفولٌ لك سلفاً.

علموني

الكتاب عبارة عن مائة موضوع في حياتي، علَّموني الاستمرار في الحياة بحب ولطف وسلام، وفي كلٍّ منها نور في ركن خفيّ مِن أركانها، والواعي هو مَن يهتدي إلى هذا النُّور.

 ولَسنا كلُّنا واعين؛ فنحتاج أحيانًا إلى أدوات وطُرُق لنهتدي إليها، والكُتب مِن هذه الأدوات.

 وكتابي هذا نوَيتُه نورًا وطريقة للاهتداء إلى الرُّكن الخفيّ المنير في كلِّ شيء يمرُّ في حياتنا، سواءً كان الأمر خيرًا أم شرًّا، ولا بأس أن تكون في حياتنا تناقضات؛ فجمال الحياة بتناقضاتها.

علامات الاستفهام لا تقبل القسمة

يحتوي هذا الديوان على نصوص شِعريَّة قصيرة مِن الشِّعر الحديث الحُرّ،ِ والمرسَل، والقصائد النثريَّة، والقليل جدًّا مِن القصائد العموديَّة.

وتتناول نصوص هذه القصائد أفكارًا وأحاسيسَ وتساؤلاتٍ مختلفة، لها معانٍ قد تكون واضحة وواقعية، تُعَبِّر عن تجارب ملموسة ومحسوسة في بعضها، وخياليَّة وحالمة مُستقاة مِن وَحْي خيال الشاعر في البعض الآخر.

والقصيدة الأولى والأخيرة تُعَبِّران عن مَدى عِشق الشاعر لزوجته (همام) التي وَرَدَ اسمها في عدة قصائد.

ولا تكاد تخلو أيّ قصيدة من الاستفهام، ولكن هل تَقْبَل هذه العلامات التقسيم على محطات حياة الشاعر؟ وهل يَقْبَل الشاعر بِما قُسم له؟ سيكون للقارئ الحُكْم.

عندما ينتحر الإله

اعالمة الأحياء المعروفة عالمياً والعضو المؤثر جداً في أكاديمية العلوم الأميركية حتى وفاتها سنة  2011 (لين مارغولس  Lynn Margulis ) تقول في إحدى محاضراتها (إن حدوث طفرة وراثية جديدة لا ينتج عنها صنف جديد من الكائنات الحية، وإنما ينتج عنها أجيال ممسوخة من الكائنات الحية). [230] وأوضحت ذلك بصورة أكبر في مقابلة أجريت معها سنة 2011 حيث تقول: (يقول الداروينيون  الجدد إن حدوث طفرات وراثية جديدة تعني ظهور أصناف جديدة من الحياة أو تحورات مفيدة في الأصناف الحياتية. وقد تم تعليمي وإفهامي لسنوات كثيرة من عمري بأن تراكم الطفرات الوراثية العشوائية يؤدي إلى تغيرات مفيدة وظهور أصناف جديدة، وقد صدَّقت ذلك حتى رأيت أن الإثباتات العلمية تنفي هذا الكلام). Sometimes, I find the present just fades away and becomes background noise. This is when the past – with its bank of memories – takes over, and I find myself as if watching a documentary, complete with images, movement and the pulse of life. Certain triggers raid my mind and take me from my present life to a long-distant past in such a way that I can see and relive it in detail, and even move between its different scenes.
But those scenes and details are not always pleasant, for some still bring sorrow, and these are the ones whose existence I try hard to forget. And though I might sometimes succeed, their influences remain in every cell of my body, and they leave me overwhelmed with anguish and pain.

القوة الناعمة

Life is all about choices. The choices we make can make us who we want to be.

It was never about what we want as a full picture, but as pieces that we put together to make a better picture.

We are never given a complete life. It was never meant to be complete and we are never meant to be complete in any way.

We are demanding creatures among all creatures. We always strive for more and never settled. Among all creatures, women are the most demanding. Not because they are unsatisfied and greedy but because they are smart enough to locate what is missing in their own lives.

The woman in this book is a woman who went through different journeys to reach the destination she settled in today, but toxic thoughts of yesterday or maybe the hidden desires of tomorrow are living in her thoughts and hunting her present.

She demands to be free, if not on the outside, then on the inside is enough for now.

كنتَ أنتَ حُلمي الأوحد الذي لطالما دعوتُ إله الكون بأن يبقيك، ولكنَّها لعبة القدر.. جمعَنا في دقيقة، وفرَّقنا لسنوات، ولا نسهو عن أفعالك التي تجاوزَتِ الفؤاد، وقضَّت مضجعه.
