Mohammad Bin Mohammad Munir Mahrouka

Mohammed bin Mohammed Munir Mahrouka, born in Damascus, Syria in 1956, studied in its schools and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Physical and Chemical Sciences from Damascus University in 1979-1980.

He worked as a professor of physics and chemistry and in radiation analysis laboratories for radiation protection in some Arab countries.

He contributed to the establishment of gamma spectroscopy laboratories to monitor radiation leakage in food and the environment.

He is a member of many specialized committees in radiation protection and working groups to develop regulations for ionizing radiation and environmental radiation.

He has experience in reviewing environmental studies to assess environmental impacts, issuing environmental permits for development projects, and conducting inspection visits to project sites and protected areas.

He is a qualified expert in radiation protection ‘FANR-037QE’ in the United Arab Emirates.

He has interests in giving lectures on radiation protection, interests in number theory, individual poetic talents, and talents in sports and chess.

He has received many awards, most notably the Golden Dana Award - Specialist Category, the Long Service Medal from a government agency in Abu Dhabi, and the Supreme National Security Council Shield.
